Facing Cruzeiro at home after a 3-0 away loss to Internacional and once again edging closer to the relegation zone. This scenario could scare even the most pessimistic fans. Defender Fábio Luciano, however, sees the match against the current second-place team in the Brazilian Championship this Wednesday differently.

"They are obviously in better form. But we have a very good team too and beating the second-placed team in the championship would give us back the confidence we need to get back on track," said the player, who on Monday still expressed dissatisfaction with the team's poor performance against Internacional.

"Joel asked us for some things that we simply went out on the field and didn't do. We made a lot of mistakes and we have to correct them as soon as possible. We know that we've played better at Maracanã, but we can't just rely on home wins. We need to show the same competitiveness when we play away."
