Flamengo's squad returned to training on Tuesday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. Coach Andrade led a collective training session in preparation for their next Brazilian Championship match, Thursday, against Cruzeiro at the Maracanã stadium.

During the training session, Andrade fielded a team with five players trained at Gávea. With Bruno sitting out training due to a chilblain, Diego trained with the starters. Even though he didn't participate in the training session, the number 1 is confirmed for Thursday's match. Kleberson, Léo Moura, Toró, and Juan are all out, as are injured players. Willians, who received his third yellow card, will be out for Flamengo.

The starting lineup consisted of: Diego; David, Ronaldo Angelim, and Fabrício (Guilherme Camacho); Everton Silva, Lenon, Airton, Fierro, and Everton; Emerson and Adriano. The only change made by coach Andrade was to test Camacho in Fabrício's place. The reserves entered the field with: Marcelo Lomba; Rafael Galhardo, Welinton, Rômulo, and Jorbison; Wellington Pecka, Willians, Guilherme Camacho (Fabrício), and Zé Roberto; Maxi and Denis Marques. The starters won the match 1-0, with a goal scored by Emerson.
