Nothing better than a special moment in one's personal life to further motivate one at work. A player known for his commitment and dedication, Correa has yet another reason to do everything to achieve a victory this Saturday (December 13.12th): the birth of his daughter, Maria Clara, during the week.
The experienced Flamengo midfielder doesn't hide his happiness about the occasion and hopes to be able to reward his new daughter with a great performance this weekend.
"This is definitely a moment of great joy in my life. It's another blessing from God. I already have a son, Enrico, who is five years old, and now Maria Clara. My motivation already exists just from wearing this Flamengo shirt, but certainly family is a very important foundation for me and hopefully I can get this victory, maybe with a goal, to dedicate to my daughter," said the player, who previously played for Atlético Mineiro and knows well the difficulties the game can bring.
"I'm sure it will be a complicated game. I've never played in Sete Lagoas, but Atlético's fans always put pressure on the team, they always push them forward, and it won't be any different here. I know some of the players, but I don't think that will be a deciding factor. The important thing will be for all of us to be focused, follow coach Luxemburgo's instructions, and always strive for victory," he observed.
Correa, however, has the recipe for trying to return from Sete Lagoas with three more points on the table: tranquility.
"I believe that intelligence and patience are the key words. We need to remain calm to decide the game at the right moments," he concluded.
