Coach Rogério Lourenço led Flamengo's last training session before Sunday's match (08.08), against Corinthians, on Friday afternoon (06.08), in Gávea. Unsurprisingly, the red-black team was lined up with Marcelo Lomba, Leonardo Moura, Jean, Ronaldo Angelim and Juan; Antônio, Fernando, Kleberson and Petkovic; Cristian Borja and Val Baiano.

Willians, released due to personal issues, did not train, as did Rodrigo Alvim, who suffered from thigh pain. Leandro Amaral was named in the reserve squad, and Renato Abreu made a separate move with players who did not participate in the first half of the training session.

The reserve team trained with Paulo Victor, Everton Silva, Welinton, Thiago Sales, and Galhardo; Rômulo, Leo Medeiros, Michael, and Vinícius Pacheco; Leandro Amaral and Diego Maurício. David, Camacho, Saba, and Marquinhos, wearing gray vests, as well as Renato, worked separately and joined in during training.

The match began with dangerous chances in both halves. Petkovic nearly scored a stunning goal for the starters, and Michael only missed opening the scoring for the reserves because defender Ronaldo Angelim blocked his shot on the line. Val Baiano was another player who hit a beautiful shot from outside the box, but it hit the crossbar. But the first goal was scored by Vinícius Pacheco, for the reserves.

An injury suffered by Petkovic during the second half of the activity interrupted training, and the player had to leave the field limping and in severe pain. There is still no information on the severity of the injury.
