Midfielder Fernando has barely arrived at Flamengo and is already having to sweat it out. The player, signed from Goiás after two excellent seasons with the Midwest club, stated that, despite the wear and tear, he is immensely happy to wear the red-and-black jersey.

Since preseason training only lasts until next weekend, the players are having to work hard in the interior of São Paulo, in Porto Feliz. Fernando reveals he's tired, but not discouraged: "The first few days are very exhausting. I'm very tired, but I know it's a necessary effort. Even so, I'm very happy to be at Flamengo."

Fernando, despite being young, has already played for several clubs in his career, and therefore, he already has some acquaintances in the red-black group, where he was very well received: "I was very well received by the entire group and the coaching staff. It's an extra incentive. I already knew Toró, David... Pet also joked with me, since we played together at Fluminense. Everyone made me feel very comfortable."

Regarding whether he'll be a starter or a reserve, the player also assures he's not worried. He says he just wants to repeat his success at Goiás and is committing his future to Flamengo. "I'll try to do the same thing I did at Goiás. I'll work hard to perform well here at Flamengo, but I'm not obligated to be a starter. Andrade will decide that based on my training sessions," he added.
