Adílio and Obina receive on behalf of the club a Motion of Support and Recognition for winning the Fifth Championship. Kicking off the celebrations for the 112th anniversary of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and the inclusion of Flamengo Week in the official calendar of the city of Rio de Janeiro, councilwoman Patricia Amorim held a big party in the plenary of the City Council, which was attended by football players, Olympic athletes, directors, associates and fans of the club.

Patricia also took advantage of the event to honor Diego and Danielle Hypólito, Victor Rosa, Marcelinho, and world swimming champion Ricardo Prado with Pan American Sports Merit Medals. During the tribute, a video featuring the red-and-black athletes at the Pan American Games was shown.

In her speech, Patricia spoke of Flamengo's history and greatness. "Flamengo is one of the few clubs in the world that competently combines Olympic sports and football," said the councilwoman. When she mentioned the names of the players who won the 1981 World Cup, the red-and-black fans gave a standing ovation. The same enthusiasm was felt when Obina and Adílio received the Motion of Support and Recognition for their fifth World Cup win from Patricia.

But the excitement didn't stop there. With the City Council choir singing the victory theme and Flamengo's anthem, the ceremony ended with everyone standing and watching a video tribute to the Flamengo fans. "We have to admit that Flamengo fans are putting on a show in the soccer championship," Patricia announced.
