By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's squad returned to training this Thursday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. The red-and-black team is preparing for its next Brazilian Championship challenge on Sunday against Coritiba at the Maracanã stadium.
In a tactical training session, coach Andrade finalized the team's details for the match. With Zé Roberto suspended for the match, Chilean midfielder Fierro trained with the starting lineup. In the first half of the session, on a reduced field, Andrade worked on the red-and-black team's defense and fielded the first team: Bruno; Léo Moura, Álvaro, Ronaldo Angelim, and Everton; Maldonado, Airton, Fierro, and Petkovic.
In the second half of training, the offensive part was thoroughly trained by the Flamengo manager, who fielded Denis Marques and Adriano in attack. Airton, who felt muscle pain in his left leg, was replaced by Willians in the second half of training. Shortly after joining the starting lineup, the number 8 injured his right ankle and had to leave training. With both players out, Lenon earned a chance in the team. Airton and Willians will be re-evaluated tomorrow by the medical department.
Toró worked hard on his physical fitness with trainer Alexandre Sanz, while Juan trained at the training center's gym.
