On the eve of the first decisive match of the CONMEBOL Libertadores quarterfinals, left-back Filipe Luís gave a press conference before this morning's training session at Ninho do Urubu. The player highlighted the team's attacking prowess and believes this factor will be one of the key factors in Rubro-Negro's pursuit of qualification for the next stage of the competition.

"We have a spectacular attack. Flamengo has achieved this in recent years. Just look at the starting attack with Bruno Henrique, Arrascaeta, and Gabigol. In the second half, Everton comes on, who's more of a starter than anyone else... In the other game, Berrío came on. When you have players of this caliber on the bench, you're building a winning team. Even if you don't play all the starters, you have plenty of resources on the bench. Flamengo currently has a full squad," he states.

Selling out virtually every game this season, the Flamengo fans are an important ally in Flamengo's upcoming challenges. Filipe Luís says the Nation is unlike anything he's ever seen. 

"We should try here in Brazilian football to ensure that packed stadiums aren't a surprise. In Europe, they're all packed. But Flamengo fans are different. At the Grêmio game, I saw everyone on their feet, everyone celebrating, singing... Atlético (from Spain) also has a strong fan base, but here it's different; it moves the player. Everywhere you go, you see thousands wearing Flamengo shirts. We feel this affection; it's a source of pride to be a Flamengo player. And we feel this responsibility every game. The important thing is not to let emotions affect you, that it doesn't change your style of play. I'm a professional; I know what I have to do. When the game ends, if we win, we celebrate with the fans; if not, they have the right to complain. I don't let emotions influence me," he emphasizes.

Flamengo faces Internacional this Wednesday, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the first leg of the Conmebol Libertadores quarterfinals.
