After leading training on Tuesday (30), Filipe Luís received a more than fair tribute for completing one year as Flamengo's coach. He received a commemorative plaque from the hands of the sporting director, José Boto, to celebrate the expressive milestone.

In total, the coach led the red-and-black team in 70 games, with 46 wins, 17 draws, and only seven losses. On the touchline, he won the 2024 Copa do Brasil, 2025 Supercopa do Brasil, and 2025 Campeonato Carioca. 

Filipe Luís arrived at Flamengo in mid-2019 as a player and was a key player on the team that made history under Jorge Jesus. He recalled his arrival at the Gávea club.

"I'm very happy with this milestone. When I came to Flamengo, I was introduced here in this room as a player, and it was a unique moment. But everything I've experienced at this club since then has been very special. There have been some very good moments, some that will remain indelible, some not so good, but they're all part of this process. I feel like I'm part of this club. I came here, signed with Flamengo, with a two-and-a-half-year contract, but always without a release clause, knowing that at any moment, if the club or I wanted to end our role, it would have to be done. This is because I believe that at Flamengo, we have to conquer the day-to-day to continue working here. It's about doing everything for Flamengo to continue in this same way as coach," stated the red-and-black commander, who continued.

"I've always tried to do everything possible, game by game, to stay at Flamengo, earning the affection of the board, the fans, and the players, day by day, so I can stay here for a year. I'm very happy, and I hope to stay a long time. And for that, I have to thank you (Boto), thank the president, and everyone involved here, because you give me every opportunity in the world to work. I feel very protected by you and the players. I'm in a wonderful work environment, and I want to continue making history," he concluded.

With Filipe Luís in command, Flamengo returns to the field this Thursday (2) to face Cruzeiro, at 20:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the 26th round of the Brasileirão. Rubro-Negro leads the national competition with 54 points and one game less than the Minas Gerais team, in second place.
