On Tuesday (30), left-back Filipe Luís and former defender Juan delivered personalized aprons to children undergoing treatment at the State Children's Hospital (HEC), in Vila Valqueire, Rio. The objective of the "My Cloak Keeps Me Safe" campaign is to encourage patients during treatment, so that they feel stronger and braver when facing the challenges of long-term treatment.
The idea was launched in Spanish hospitals with the motto "The strongest aprons," meaning "the strongest aprons." Now, the initiative has arrived in Rio de Janeiro, at the State Children's Hospital (HEC) in Vila Valqueire, in the city's West Zone, through a partnership between the hospital and Clube de Regatas Flamengo, which donated the uniforms bearing the club's colors and symbol.
"A very special visit. A project that I'm sure will be a success. The Flamengo jersey carries a lot of weight, energy, and good things for those who wear it. I'm sure it will have the same effect in the hospital, and these children will have more strength to fight against their problems," says Juan.
"I feel privileged to be part of this spectacular event that Flamengo is undertaking. I'm very happy to have participated in it. The energy they transmit to us is very important. Giving these gifts was great for them to feel the power of this shield, this shirt," says Filipe Luís.

For the Secretary of Health of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Edmar Santos, it is a great goal for the Rio team.
"It's a wonderful gesture from the club. I'm sure that gestures like this contribute to the humanization of care, something we've been striving for since the beginning of our administration and which yields results in treatment. Now, we intend to encourage other teams to participate," he emphasizes.
Based on the principles of solidarity and valuing life, Flamengo believes in humane hospital care and contributes its strength to promoting human dignity, as actions like these awaken playfulness and contribute significantly to the therapeutic process of patients. Football is a national passion, and Flamengo exercises its social responsibility through its enormous influence on and off the field.
