The new darling of the Red-Black Nation, striker Michael was the guest of 'Virtual Chat', held live on FlaTV this Wednesday (03). In a very relaxed review, the red-black player highlighted his love for football, the fans' passion for the Club, his relationship with Mister and other topics. Check it out below.

Love for football

"There's a big difference between liking and loving playing soccer. When you like it, you play after work, on the weekends. But when you love it, it's different. Ever since I was playing on the 'terrão', I've made it my profession. Back then, I already loved playing soccer and told everyone that one day I would depend on this sport for my living. I really enjoy being on the field, having that feeling of seeing a packed stadium."

Relationship with Gabigol

"Gabigol is a good person, with a good heart, and a hard-working athlete. Whenever I'm on the bench, I try to look at him, Bruno Henrique, Arrasca, and Everton Ribeiro. Gabriel provided the assist for both goals I scored, and everyone came to hug me. I arrived at Flamengo very shy, but I soon loosened up because they gave me so much confidence and support."

First contact with Mister

"When I first approached him, I didn't understand much of what he was saying (laughs). He gave me some ideas and asked me some questions about what I could do on the field. Then, the coach gave me more guidance, and I was very happy that he explained it to me and talked about how he likes to see the team play. During matches, I try to do everything he tells me."

Meaning of Flamengo for the fans

"Watching on TV, I had no idea how powerful this feeling was. When I made my debut for the team, there were about 59 fans, and the match was midweek. There was a Libertadores game where the stadium was also packed, and the fans wouldn't stop singing. I was on the bench, looking at it all, and thinking, 'This crowd is so big.' The love the red-and-blacks feel for their team goes far beyond what we can imagine."
