Flamengo draws at Beira-Rio with a goal from Obina
The 1-1 draw with Inter leaves the red-black team in seventh place in the Brasileirão, with 36 points.
By Flamengo Archive - inJust like in the victory over Grêmio, Flamengo played with great determination and secured a 1-1 draw with Internacional at Beira-Rio Stadium. Caio Júnior's team fell behind, but Obina secured another point for the red-and-blacks. With the draw, Flamengo finished the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship in seventh place, with 36 points.
The first half wasn't kind to the team from Gávea. With a strong crowd, Internacional pushed forward from the opening minutes. In the 14th minute, Gustavo Nery unleashed a long shot forward, Bruno missed, and Nilmar capitalized to open the scoring: 1-0 Inter.
With Flamengo under pressure from the Gaucho team, Caio Júnior made his first substitution in the 28th minute, bringing on Toró for Jailton. The change saw Flamengo improve, and Ibson had the first chance, but his shot was weak, narrowly missing Clemer's post.
Late in the first half, Internacional had a few chances to extend their lead. First, in the 38th minute, Nilmar unleashed a dangerous header inside the six-yard box. In the 34th minute, Ibson received the ball from Juan and shot dangerously, forcing Clemer to make a good save. Soon after, Taison shot from the edge of the box, but Fábio Luciano blocked it.
In stoppage time, Flamengo wasted two great chances. In the 46th minute, Erick Flores received the ball from Obina and shot against Clemer's left post. Shortly after, Obina received the ball unmarked in the penalty area, but his shot went just wide of the post.
