Flamengo reaches the milestone of one million fans at Maracanã

In addition to a great result on the field, Flamengo achieved an impressive feat off the field in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Vasco at Maracanã.

With 67.796 fans present at the Stadium, Clube da Gávea reached the impressive mark of 1.009.533 red-black fans at Maracanã in the 2008 season.

In 2007, Flamengo's fans reached this milestone in October, during a Brazilian Championship match against Atlético Mineiro. This year, the world's largest fan base reached the milestone in July, during the first 29 games of the season (excluding the closed-door match against Santos).

Since the start of the second round of the 2007 Brazilian Championship, Flamengo has maintained an 82% success rate in its matches.

With the great campaign in the Brazilian Championship, the red-black fans can reach the mark of 2.000.000 fans, just by maintaining an average of 67 thousand fans present per game.
