Less than 24 hours after suffering a comeback in their debut against Minas, when they went up 2-0 and ended up losing 3-2, Flamengo bounced back in the Brazilian Futsal Cup, paying back in kind. Their opponent, however, was a different team: São José. The São Paulo team finished the first half with a two-goal lead, but in the second half, the red-and-blacks turned the tables, with two goals from Silva and one from Gabriel, and left Ginásio Presidente Ciro II with their first three points of the competition.

Friday's game was as lively as last Thursday's. Both teams spared no effort to open the scoring. Playing offensively, Flamengo had good chances, but São José scored the first goal, with Lucas in the ninth minute. The goal galvanized the home team, who extended their lead in the 23rd minute with Keke. Just when it seemed the team from Gávea would feel the blow, the comeback came.

The equalizer happened in less than a minute. Silva and Gabriel scored in the 26th and 28th minutes, respectively, putting Mengão back in the game, which became tense from then on. And the one who decided the match in Flamengo's favor was winger Silva, who had already been one of the heroes of Flamengo's state title last year. Two minutes before the final whistle, he scored again, making the score 3-2. Shortly after, he was sent off, but there was no time for anything else.

The victory maintains Flamengo's chances of qualifying for the final stage of the Taça Brasil. However, the red-and-black team's situation is not easy. Coach Cid Escarlate's team, in addition to having to beat Jardim Limoeiro and São Paulo, must hope to lose against Minas, who need only a draw in their next match, against São Paulo, to secure the only spot in Group B.
