Campinas (SP) - The Flamengo delegation landed in Campinas late Saturday afternoon (August 28.08th), where they will face Guarani on Sunday (August 29.08th) at 16 pm at the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa Stadium. And the flight that brought the players and coaching staff of Flamengo couldn't have been more fitting. The pilot and co-pilot were Flamengo fans and wished the team members good luck before boarding in Rio and after landing in São Paulo.

Commander Arthur Tavares greeted the Flamengo fans as the plane was about to take off: "It's a very emotional moment for us to be bringing Flamengo to Campinas. We've been Flamengo fans since childhood and we're very honored. It's a very special day for all of us."

Renan Frota took the opportunity to joke with the executive director of football, Zico: "I even went to a youth academy at CFZ, but I ended up not staying. The guys couldn't get me to play football. There was no way (laughs)."

While still in Rio de Janeiro and also upon arrival at Viracopos Airport, the players stopped several times to take photos with fans and give autographs. The team returns to Rio immediately after the match against Guarani, trains on Monday (August 30.08th) and travels on Tuesday (August 31.08st) to Uberlândia, where they face Cruzeiro on Wednesday (September 01.09st).
