Coach Dunga and assistant coach Jorginho announced the candidates for the 2008 Brasileirão Player of the Year award in 16 categories this Thursday afternoon at the Football Museum in São Paulo. Flamengo received six nominations: Léo Moura (right-back), Fábio Luciano (central defender), Ronaldo Angelim (fourth defender), Juan (left-back), and Ibson (midfielder). In addition to competing for the best left-back award, Juan is also in contention for the Fans' Player of the Year award.
