The under-19 squad features Vinícius Colombiano, Kayke and Erick Flores

Vinícius Colombiano and Kayke will reinforce Flamengo's squad in Malaysia. Flamengo has selected the 20 players who will represent it at the U-19 World Cup in Malaysia in August. The core squad of the three-time state champion junior team this year was disbanded due to the age limit.

That's why some of the regulars like goalkeeper Paulo Victor, defender Thiago Sales, and defensive midfielders Rômulo and Marcinho weren't called up. But the red-and-black fans can rest easy.

The new crop boasts several promising players. Among them are midfielder Vinícius Colombiano and forward Kayke, who are training with the senior team. Former youth players like Erick Flores and Renan are also part of the delegation. Another highlight is the presence of Uruguayan Hugo, captain of the youth team.

Flamengo debuts against Milan on August 8th.
