Coach Rogério Lourenço was able to observe, once again, the players who have not been playing regularly as Flamengo starters this Monday (16.08), in Gávea. The Rubro-Negro reserve team played another training match, as has become common each week. This time, the opponent was Tigres do Brasil.
In the team that faced Tigres, Jean stood out, as he was suspended and did not take the field against Ceará. Toró, still searching for his best physical condition, and Maldonado, recovering from a knee injury, also trained normally. Young Saba, a product of the youth academy, started the match. Therefore, the team trained with Paulo Victor; Everton Silva, David, Jean, and Léo Medeiros; Toró, Maldonado, Fernando, and Saba; Marquinhos and Cristian Borja.
The players selected for last Saturday's (August 14.08) match against Ceará completed a recovery session. Correa and Ronaldo Angelim were excused from the session due to personal issues. Left-back Juan, who suffered a stomach upset and was out of the team's squad for the last round, participated normally in training. Leandro Amaral and Renato Abreu were subjected to intense physical activity.
Schedule Changes - This Tuesday, the red-and-black squad will return to training at 15 p.m., but this time at the club's training center, Ninho do Urubu, in Vargem Grande. The coaching staff opted to move the activities, initially scheduled for Gávea, to the training center. On Wednesday, the team will train in the morning at Ninho and in the afternoon at Barra beach. On Thursday, they will return to the training center, and on Friday, they will have their final training session before traveling to Curitiba, where they will face Atlético-PR on Sunday.
