Fla faces decision against Grêmio Prudente
Even away from home, Rubro-negro will seek three points with calm and caution

Flamengo and Grêmio Prudente will take to the field this Wednesday (15.09), at 22 pm, at Prudentão, badly needing the three points. And the clash promises to have a focused Rubro-negro, as they will face an opponent fighting to get out of the relegation zone.
Going through a not so calm phase, Flamengo also doesn't want to hear about "Z4" and, for that, will face the game as a decision, like those they are used to playing.
"We're always talking to each other to get the best out of things, but the moment requires a lot of dedication on the field. We're going to go into this with a lot of seriousness and go for the win. I haven't even thought about relegation yet because the quality of our squad isn't there for that. The championship is level, and we can turn this situation around. We need to win to climb the table and then stay up there," said Renato, who is expected to return to the team.
And Flamengo's seriousness will also be evident on Grêmio Prudente's side, as the São Paulo team needs to assert its home advantage to try to shake off the specter of relegation as quickly as possible. But nothing that should scare the red-and-black players.
"They'll put a lot of pressure on us because they need a result and they're playing at home. But I expect a good match and that we can leave here happy. The championship is difficult and we have to go into it with that spirit of determination. I'm sure we can get a win, which is very important right now," said Rodrigo Alvim, who was confirmed in the team in place of the injured Juan.
But not all players expect Grêmio Prudente to attack from the start. Defender Jean, on the contrary, emphasizes that Flamengo needs to be cautious even if their opponent plays defensively.
"All the teams in the relegation zone are playing defensively. I don't think Prudente will be any different. And since Flamengo is a team that always plays forward, we need to be cautious. We need to go for the win, but calmly," he concluded.
Good memories
In the first round of the 2010 Brazilian Championship, Flamengo hosted Grêmio Prudente at Maracanã and won 3-1. Vagner Love scored twice and Juan completed the scoring. The match marked the debut of young striker Diego Maurício. He came on in the second half and was awarded a penalty that Flamengo converted.
