In the youth categories, Flamengo qualified for the U-09 final and will compete for the title with the Mangueira team, in a single game, on July 19th. The red-black team's qualification came after an 07-11 victory over the Grajaú team.
The under-11 and under-13 categories of CRFlamengo did not qualify for the finals, losing their place in games against Canto do Rio and Fluminense, respectively, by scores of 2-2 and 5-2.
The under-17 team continues training and preparing for the category final against Fluminense. The game, not yet confirmed by the Federation, is expected to take place next Sunday (July 20th). The youth team also continues training in anticipation of the second leg of the final against Vasco da Gama.
The senior team qualified for the Carioca semifinals after defeating Grajaú 8-1. Playing their final game at Gávea, which can no longer be used due to the size of its court, the red-and-black team bid farewell playing well and, above all, seeking attack throughout the match. Needing a goal difference to play the second game on their chosen court, Flamengo pressed throughout and built a good lead, enjoying much greater possession throughout the match. After the match, the team was awarded the Ricardo Lucena Cup.
Flamengo's opponent in the semifinal is Cabo Frio, and the first game between the two teams is on July 15th, in Cabo Frio.
The Flamengo girls won the first semifinal match of the Rio de Janeiro championship, defeating the Canto do Rio team 4-2. The second and decisive game between the two teams is on July 15th, at 07:20 pm, in Niterói.
