Fla has a lively training session at the Gigantinho Gymnasium
Rubro-Negro had their last activity before the match against Inter, Sunday, at Beira-Rio
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - inPorto Alegre (RS) - Despite having forced Flamengo to change the location of the last training session before the match against Internacional, on Sunday (25.07), at Beira-Rio, the heavy rain did not dampen the spirits of the red-and-black players in Porto Alegre. In this Saturday's (24.07) activity, held at Gigantinho, Internacional's gymnasium in the same Beira-Rio sports complex, the group demonstrated the traditional good humor of recreational training.
Early in training, the famous "robo" (bobo) game was filled with fun and banter among the players. The highlight of the game was when the trio of Marquinhos, Diego Maurício, and Petkovic ended up playing the game for three consecutive rounds. Petkovic then returned to the "bobo" game for two more consecutive rounds, this time with another trio, alongside Lenon and Vinícius.
Afterward, some players worked on ball movements, and the goalkeepers worked with coach Cantareli. The group left Gigantinho around 17 p.m. to return to the hotel where they are staying for Sunday's match, which striker Diego Maurício considers a major test.
"It's going to be a great game, without a doubt. We worked hard all week and came here prepared for a very tough match against Inter. But we're confident in the quality of the squad and we'll try to return to Rio with the win," he said.
