Fla holds new technical training in Itu

Rogério led an activity to test the team in aerial play both offensively and defensively.

Itu (SP) - Flamengo's training session this Thursday afternoon (July 01.07st) in Itu began with a unique warm-up by physical trainer Toninho Oliveira. He set up a large circle, with each athlete responsible for a ball and only one player remaining. Each time Toninho blew the whistle, everyone had to change positions, and whoever was left had to run after an empty ball, while the others moved to avoid it.

After the activity, Rogério Lourenço gathered the players and coaching staff in the center of the field for a chat and then began another technical and tactical session. The coach gave the defenders vests to prevent plays initiated by the defensive midfielders in the middle of the field. They passed the ball to the midfielders, who played one-twos with the full-backs. The full-backs then crossed for the forwards to finish—with their feet or heads. Finally, everyone practiced finishing: shooting on goal from the edge of the box, without a wall.

On the other field, Val Baiano and Corrêa, accompanied by David, did physical work under the supervision of physiologist Paulo Figueiredo. This Friday (02.07), Rogério is expected to lead a collective training session.

"If I said the team was decided, I'd be lying. There are challenges. There are players who have left, players recovering from injuries, players suspended... Val Baiano will only be able to play later, Love, Correa, and David still have uncertain situations. We have to make the most of it, but I think I'll have the team decided here," explained the red-and-black manager.
