It's time for the ball to start rolling in Flamengo's preseason. After a week of individual and group physical and physiological evaluations, the red-and-black squad finally did what they love most this Saturday morning: working with the ball. Coach Rogério Lourenço led a technical activity with three teams on a reduced-size field, under the watchful eye of the new executive director of football, Zico.

Saturday began with the traditional team-coaching session, and after warming up on the field, the players were divided into three groups to begin training. The idea behind this type of activity is to test the players' movement and make their first contact with the ball after the days off the squad received during the Brasileirão break for the World Cup.

Next week, the Rubro-Negro will train at its training center, Ninho do Urubu, in Vargem Grande. The team will train full-time from Monday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, activities will be held only in the morning, and the group will have Sunday off.
