Fla holds first training session with an eye on "La U"
Rogério leads the collective in Gávea and the starters of the Brasileirão debut do regenerative training
By From the team at the official FLamengo website - inFlamengo began, this Monday (10.05), its preparation for the match against Universidad de Chile, on Wednesday (12.05), at Maracanã. The game is valid for the quarterfinals of the Copa Santander Libertadores da América and coach Rogério Lourenço has not yet defined who to select for the duel against the Chileans.
The players who started against São Paulo last Sunday (09.05) only did some recovery work in the gym. Fabrício and Leo Medeiros, who were injured, also did some physical activity and then ran laps on the pitch. Meanwhile, on the field, Rogério Lourenço led a training session between the players who played only a few minutes and those who did not play against São Paulo in the Brasileirão opener.
The first team trained with Marcelo Lomba, Leonardo Moura, Wellinton, Christianno, and Rodrigo Alvim; Maldonado, Fernando, Fierro, and Michael; Vagner Love and Adriano. The reserve team consisted of Paulo Victor, Galhardo, Marlon, Henrique, and Jorbison; Lenon, Camacho, Vinícius Pacheco, and Ramon; Gil and Bruno Mezenga. The reserves won the training session 1-0, with a goal from Bruno Mezenga.
Midfielder Maldonado believes that, regardless of who is selected, the team has everything it needs to achieve a good result against the Chileans.
"In the last two games, the team has improved a lot in terms of concentration and marking. Only in the first game against Corinthians were we a little lost in marking, but then we scored. Concentration has to be maintained for the entire 90 minutes. We can't let their team play and we have to be patient," he said.
This Tuesday, the group will meet again at 15:30 pm, at Ninho do Urubu, train and then head to the training camp.
