Flamengo held its first technical training session of the preseason in Londrina, on the afternoon of this Thursday (06.01). Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo led what is called German training. That is, he divided the group into three teams. While two teams face each other on half of the field, the third team waits on the other side of the pitch. The objective of one team is to score a goal and that of the other, to get the ball to the center of the field.
Bottinelli and Maldonado did separate physical work. The goalkeepers took turns under Cantareli's command. There is still no indication of the Flamengo team that will be fielded in Sunday's (January 09.01th) friendly against Londrina at the Estádio do Café. For the players, the activity was beneficial.
"Of course, we were already missing working with the ball a little, something more like a real game. Now we still have team training to do, a match on Sunday, and we're preparing well for this season," said defender David.
The expectation is that many players will have the chance to play in the match against Londrina, which will be a good opportunity for Vanderlei to observe the performance of each player and begin to shape the team that will face Volta Redonda on January 19th, in the opening match of the Campeonato Carioca.
