Fla holds final training session before trip to Campinas

Interim coach Toninho Barroso led Flamengo's final training session before the trip to Campinas, this Saturday (28.08), at Gávea. And the red-black team had news under the command of the coach who will train the team in Sunday's game (29.08) against Guarani. The team formed with only one striker and another marking man in the middle.

Before the ball rolled, executive director of football Zico and Toninho spoke with the red-and-black squad. Afterwards, in a tactical drill involving movement on a reduced-size field, Toninho named the starting lineup as Leo Moura, Jean, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Toró, Correa, Willians, Renato, and Petkovic; and Diogo.

The reserves trained with Galhardo, David, Welinton, Thiago Sales, and Rodrigo Alvim; Fernando, Léo Medeiros, and Lenon; and Diego Maurício and Val Baiano. After the training session, there was another long conversation between the players and the coaching staff.

Michael, Vinícius Pacheco, and Antônio worked out in the gym, while Kleberson and Maldonado were excused from training. Rômulo, Thiago Sales, Cristian Borja, and Saba ran laps around the field. Newly signed Deivid arrived a little later than the rest of the group, but quickly changed into his training gear and underwent physiological evaluations and physical activities.

Leandro Amaral out - With pain in his left knee, forward Leandro Amaral will miss the match against Guarani in Campinas. The player suffered a blow in the match against Atlético-MG and didn't even train with the group this Saturday. Vinícius Pacheco, with back pain, will also miss the game, as will Kleberson, who still has pain in his right calf.
