Fla-Flu in the OPG quarterfinals
Rubro-negro thrashed São Cristovão 6-1 and secured first place in group B.
By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's youth team thrashed São Cristovão 6-1 on Saturday at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center, securing first place in Group B of the Octávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament. Flamengo finished the second phase of the competition with a strong campaign. In 14 matches, coach Adílio's team won ten, drew two, and lost only two. The Gávea team scored 37 goals and conceded 12. Among the standouts were forwards Paulo Sérgio and Bruno Paulo, and midfielders Vander, Erick Flores, and Vinicius Colombiano.
In the quarterfinals of the competition, the Flamengo youth team will face rivals Fluminense. The Tricolor team finished the second phase of the OPG in second place in Group C, behind Madureira. The first game of the decisive Fla-Flu match is scheduled for Wednesday at 16 pm in Xerém.
