Fla is already thinking about the Brasileirão marathon of games

Itu (SP) – When the Brazilian Championship returns to its rhythm, Flamengo knows it won't have much time to train. The team will only have a full week to train again between July 25th and August 1st, during the break between matches against Internacional and Vasco. Before that, the team will have four consecutive matches, alternating between midweek and weekend: against Botafogo (July 14.07th), Atlético-Go (July 18.07th), Avaí (July 21.07st), and Inter (July 25.07th). Already thinking about this marathon of matches, the red-and-blacks know the importance of working hard in Itu.
Coach Rogério Lourenço had already warned of the need to train the team's technical and tactical skills during this offseason. However, the manager also knows it's crucial that the team stays in good physical shape, precisely to endure this marathon.
"We have to work hard here, because later on, it will be difficult to have much time to work. So, we need to improve not only the technical and tactical aspects, but also the physical aspects," explained coach Rogério Lourenço.
Right-back Leonardo Moura agrees. According to him, the team is putting in the maximum effort during the offseason precisely because they know this period could make a huge difference in the future.
"We still have a lot of time to get the group sorted. Only seven rounds of the championship have passed so far, and the competition is very balanced. We're taking advantage of this time to work, prepare well, and sweat, because we know that when we return to play, we won't have all these days to train, and we have to be prepared," he added.
Flamengo returns to training this Saturday afternoon at 15 p.m. at the Spa Sports Resort in Itu. On Sunday, the Red-Black team plays its first preseason training match, also at 15 p.m., against Ituano.
