The history of Fla-Lages is closely linked to the trajectory of a red-black from Lages: Renato Tadeu Furtado Ramos.

As a boy in the 60s, Renato—now 52—found a keychain with the Flamengo badge on the ground. The charm of those colors and the power of the name led him to decide that the red-and-black would be the team of his life. It should be noted that Renato's father and brothers supported a rival of Flamengo, an opponent that over the years specialized in runner-up finishes. Thus, Renato wasn't influenced by anyone in his family to devote himself to the Most Beloved: it was the club's very greatness and its destiny of glory that attracted the young fan. Renato grew up listening to the goals of Dida, Silva, Almir, Arílson, Doval... on the radio. Years passed, Renato married and had two sons, Fernando and Fábio, who inherited their father's passion. Fernando was born fourteen days before Flamengo defeated Liverpool in Tokyo. Fábio is now the organizer of the fans' tours to watch the games. The fan base began as Fla-Ramos, formed by Renato and his sons, but grew and attracted other Flamengo fans, forming Fla-Lages. Trips to Flamengo games began in 1994, still in the south of the country, and soon expanded beyond. Every year, Fla-Lages travels to Rio de Janeiro at least once. In 2007, thirty-four fans traveled by bus to watch the Campeonato Carioca final between Flamengo and Botafogo and were rewarded with yet another trophy.

Red-Black Corner

Recanto Rubro-negro is a cultural space dedicated to Flamengo fans located in a separate room in Renato's house. The small but large museum was founded in July 1999, when Flamengo's Carioca Championship victory inspired the club to create a small room to house paintings of champion Flamengo teams. However, less than a year and a half after its founding, with numerous donations of materials such as magazines, newspapers, keychains, balls, books, VHS tapes, stickers, tickets, and more, Renato and his children realized the need to expand the Recanto's space. The reopening was scheduled for June 2001, but on May 27 of that year, Flamengo won the third Carioca Championship, bringing forward the celebrations for the red-and-black fans of Lage, who packed the Recanto that night to celebrate. Today, the space boasts thousands of Flamengo-themed items - including the keychain Renato found almost five decades ago. The Recanto has already welcomed world champion Lico and hosted the launch of the book "Ser Flamengo" by writer Mauricio Neves de Jesus, who autographed several copies for his friends.

Renato Ramos, his family and all the red-blacks of Lages feel honored with the appointment of Recanto Rubro-negro as the Official Embassy of the Clube de\ Regatas do Flamengo.\
