Fla will not suffer from a marathon of games

Flamengo will soon return to playing two matches per week in the Brazilian Championship. Next week, the team will play two matches: on Sunday (August 22.08), they will face Atlético Paranaense in Curitiba, and on Thursday (August 26.08), they will play Atlético Mineiro at Maracanã. But the Flamengo fans believe they are ready for the marathon.

Serbian Petkovic, one of the team's most experienced players, believes the group has what it takes to perform well in the upcoming rounds. The Gávea number 10 praised his teammates and expressed confidence in a positive future for the team in the Brasileirão.

"Whoever has the squad to cover for my absences will achieve the best results. Personally, I'm in very good physical shape, and our squad has quality players to replace me and play at the same level when necessary. Fernando, Michael, and Vinícius Pacheco, for example. I believe Flamengo won't suffer as a result. In midfield, we're well-equipped, especially with the arrival of Renato Abreu," he said.

Renato Abreu, signed in this international transfer window and who should start in Saturday's game (14.08) against Ceará, agrees and believes that everyone has a responsibility to ensure Flamengo fights for the top of the table.

"The team is good, there are 11 players playing and everyone has a responsibility. The important thing is that everyone knows how to play offensively and defensively, balanced, so we can achieve positive results," he added.
