Fla loses to Avaí at Ressacada
A 3-0 defeat left the red-black team in 14th place in the Brazilian Championship, with 27 points.
By Flamengo Archive - inWith a severely depleted squad, Flamengo performed poorly, losing 3-0 to Avaí this Sunday in Florianópolis. The result left the Gávea team in 13th place in the Brazilian Championship, with 27 points. In the next round, the red-and-black team faces Santo André on Saturday at Maracanã.
Flamengo was at a loss from the opening minutes. Just seven minutes in, Muriqui crossed from the left and Luis Ricardo deflected it into the net: 1-0 Avaí. Flamengo responded four minutes later. Zé Roberto crossed to Adriano at the far post, but the striker couldn't connect. In the 12th minute, Everton Silva felt pain in his thigh and was replaced by Rafael Galhardo.
In the 30th minute, the Santa Catarina team extended their lead. Léo Gago took a shot from the edge of the box, the ball deflected off Everton, and deceived Bruno: 2-0. In the end, Luis Ricardo burst into the box from the left and fired a powerful shot. Bruno made a fine save.
