Work in Itu ended this Wednesday (07.07), but Flamengo's preseason continues in full swing in Rio de Janeiro starting this Thursday (08.07), in Rio de Janeiro. The team will report back to Gávea, at 15:30 pm, and will continue working until returning to official matches, next Wednesday (14.07), against Botafogo, at Maracanã. And, until then, coach Rogério Lourenço will continue testing formations to decide which team will take the field in the classic.
In recent days, in Itu, the coach has tested several tactical schemes, with some players in different positions. The main question is whether the team will play with two or three center-backs, as well as the formation of the attacking duo, with Paulo Sérgio and Diego Maurício competing for a spot alongside Vinícius Pacheco.
"We haven't decided on a tactical formation yet. We can use a 3-5-2, especially since it gives Léo Moura and Juan more freedom. If we opt for this one, we'll have to train him more intensively. We tested three different formations, and they all went according to plan. It was a good time here. We have to worry about what will happen in the Brazilian Championship," explained Rogério.
After returning on Thursday, the group will train on Friday morning, play another training match on Saturday afternoon and have Sunday off.
