Fla sweats his shirt in training on the beach

Rubro-Negros did physical activity this Tuesday morning at Recreio

Flamengo's preseason kicked off in full swing. This Tuesday, the red-and-blacks were already sweating it out again, training on Recreio beach. The group completed a series of physical activities under the guidance of coach Toninho Oliveira. Between training sessions, the players' energy and fatigue were noticeable. And this was the coaching staff's intention: to test them to their fullest.

Toninho explains that this type of activity helps strengthen the players and points out that, in addition, the work is important for allowing the athletes to breathe new air and not remain focused solely on the training center.

\

"It's important work, to develop strength and get them back in shape after these days of inactivity. It also gets them off the field, which is also good. The player gets to breathe new air, move differently, and that's very good," he said.

\

The red-black coach also pointed out the benefits that training on terrain like sand can bring to players.

\

"It's a ground that pushes more, but it doesn't have the same impact as the field. So the player doesn't feel it as much and ends up responding better to the work," he added.

In the afternoon, the group returns to Ninho do Urubu for technical training. The week of training continues full-time on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, the team works in the morning, and Sunday is the day off.
