Coach Rogério Lourenço didn't have much good news on Friday afternoon (May 28.05). This Saturday (May 29.05), Flamengo faces Grêmio at Maracanã at 18:30 pm and will be without Toró, who is experiencing pain in his right knee, and Michael, who remains out of the team due to injury. Another player who didn't train was Vagner Love. Also suffering from knee pain, the "Artilheiro do Amor" (Artillery of Love) was spared from training, but unlike his teammates, he will play.

In a tactical drill earlier in the afternoon, Rogério gave the first clues about who will take the field on Saturday. Petkovic, fully recovered from thigh pain, and Maldonado, who has regained his fitness and is ready for the match, trained with the starters. Flamengo's starting lineup consisted of Bruno, Leonardo Moura, David, Ronaldo Angelim, and Juan; Lenon, Maldonado, Camacho, and Petkovic; Vinícius Pacheco and Diego Maurício.

Given the absences, right-back Leonardo Moura believes that, regardless of who is on the field, the team must do its best to leave Maracanã with three more points in the Brazilian Championship standings.

"Rogério is a very intelligent coach and is always looking for the best for Flamengo. Regardless of who is selected, I'm sure the team will go for this victory," said the player, who also stated that there is no time to lament the absences.

"We have to praise everyone who's here. The group is close and whoever's playing will try to help the team as much as possible to get the result," he added.
