Flamengo goes to 'war' against Cruzeiro.
Léo Moura is confident in the potential of the Brazilian champion against the 'miners' in Volta Redonda.

Flamengo takes the field this Sunday (November 28.11th) at 17 PM against Cruzeiro at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium in Volta Redonda, determined to reassure the fans, who will certainly fill the stadium, about the upcoming season. And to that end, Luxemburgo's team promises a lot of effort to secure a victory, even though a draw would supposedly guarantee Flamengo's place in the top division.
As the team's spokesperson this Saturday, the day of the team's final training session before the decisive match, Léo Moura doesn't even want to think about depending on any results other than a Flamengo victory.
"Our goal is to fulfill our role here. Regardless of the other results, we have to win and play a great game, because it gives us more peace of mind for the final match. And if the results are unfavorable for us, with us winning, we will be at ease because we did our job. If it can end soon, on Sunday, because this situation is uncomfortable, it's better. But we have to respect the Cruzeiro team," stated captain Léo Moura, already pointing out the opponent's strengths.
"They are a very strong opponent who like to play on the counter-attack and with speed. We have to be well positioned so as not to be surprised here at home."
And the house to which the Flamengo captain refers brings good luck to the club in decisive moments. At least that's been the case over the last few years and will continue to be, according to him and the expectation of the entire group.
"We're going to do the same work we did at Engenhão in the last game, and we hope the fans can come out in droves to see a great show. We're prepared for it and we want to give them this gift. The stadium here in Volta Redonda brings good luck and it has to continue to do so. With the support of the fans and this affection, I'm sure everything will be alright," concluded Léo Moura.
And if the captain has spoken, the rest of the team, experienced and the current Brazilian champions, follows suit. Angelim and Maldonado's message for the game is the same: keep their focus on Cruzeiro's strong squad, but go out and seek victory.
"Cruzeiro is a great team and it's no coincidence that they're competing for the title. But we are capable of facing them on equal terms. Several players were Brazilian champions here last year, playing for Flamengo. And they will also have the fans on their side," said Angelim, followed by Maldonado, who pointed out the good midfielders of the Minas Gerais team.
"Cruzeiro has midfielders who move forward to play and rotate their defensive duties. In addition, Montillo and Roger help with marking. This makes things easier for them, and that's what we have to combat. We have to prevent them from constantly appearing to receive the ball and thus give options to their teammates.
