Vander's goal guarantees victory over Villa Rio, on Rua Bariri, for the OPG Cup

Flamengo struggled, but defeated Villa Rio on Wednesday afternoon. In a match valid for the fifth round of the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Cup, the red-and-black youth team won 1-0 at Rua Bariri.

The only goal of the match was scored by Vânder in the 11th minute of the second half. He received a cross from Davidson and shot to score.

- For me, this goal gives me a lot of confidence, as I hadn't done well in the last few games - declares the hero of the match.

This is Flamengo's fourth victory in five matches in the competition, the defending champion. Their only loss was to Nova Iguaçu. The team returns to action next Saturday against Cabofriense in Gávea. The time has not yet been decided.
