Fla returns to training this Friday

With their Copa Libertadores quarterfinal opponents set and on the eve of their Brazilian Championship debut against São Paulo on Sunday, Flamengo returns to training this Friday at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center. The Flamengo eliminated Corinthians in São Paulo on Wednesday, had Thursday off, and will return this afternoon in Vargem Grande.
The day will be decided to devise the group's strategies for the next two matches. On Sunday, the team faces Tricolor Paulista, and next Wednesday, Universidad de Chile. Coach Rogério Lourenço doesn't yet know if he will field a full-strength team, but Ronaldo Angelim believes so.
"I don't think Rogério Lourenço will rest players against São Paulo. It's going to be a very difficult match, and we need to start the Brazilian Championship on the right foot. I think Rogério will only rest players in the second round (against Vitória, in Salvador), before the away game. Then we should go with the entire reserve team or at least a mixed team," said the defender.
Midfielder Rômulo, in turn, praises the coach and says he will be eternally grateful to Rogério for having earned him recent opportunities in Flamengo's starting lineup.
"I will always be very grateful to Rogério Lourenço. I don't mind not showing up in games, but I like being tactically important to the group. I've been like this since the youth academy and I was like this in the opportunities I had with Joel Santana," said the player, who also took the opportunity to praise the rest of the group.
"I think our key players aren't just Adriano and Love, they're also Léo Moura and Juan. But they're very limited in marking. If I do my job well, I let them have more freedom and they can advance further," he concluded.
