In a game valid for the fourth round of the Libertadores, Flamengo drew with Ñublense 1-1 this Wednesday (24), at the Municipal Stadium of Concepción, in Chile. Gabi, still in the first half, scored the red-black goal. With the result, Mais Querido added five points and is in second place in Group A.

The game
Despite playing away from home, Flamengo started the match taking the initiative and exchanging passes to quickly attack. Ñublense, on the other hand, sat deep, waiting to mount counterattacks. Flamengo's first shot on goal came in the 16th minute. Cebolinha broke down the left and played a pass to the edge of the box. Gerson set up a screen, and the ball reached Vidal, who took a left-footed shot that the goalkeeper saved.

By passing the ball around so much in attack, Mengão found an opening to open the scoring in the first half. In the 32nd minute, David Luiz passed to Gerson behind the defense. He managed to chest it down, the ball deflected off the defense and fell perfectly to Gabi, who slotted it home to slam the ball into the Chilean net: 1-0. In control of the game, Mengão went into halftime with the advantage.

In the second half, Flamengo continued to exchange passes and circulate the ball near the Ñublense box. Needing to press forward, the Chilean team threatened Matheus Cunha's goal more and created a few opportunities.

In the 27th minute, Ñublense equalized with Jorge Henríquez, who broke through the middle of the red-and-black defense and shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 1-1. With Sampaoli's substitutions, the red-and-black team regained control of possession and launched an attack. In the 36th minute, Pedro found Gerson in the box, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and shot. The Chilean defense managed to clear.

In the final play of the match, Ayrton Lucas crossed into the box, the defense mis-cleared, and the ball fell to Pedro. The number 9 tried to chip the ball over the goalkeeper, who flicked it away for a corner. The match ended in Chile with a draw and a small point in their bag.

Next appointment
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Saturday (27) to face Cruzeiro, at 18:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the eighth round of the Brasileirão.
