Flamengo officially announced this Wednesday (15) the signing of striker Juninho, who played for Qarabag. The 28-year-old athlete signed a contract until the end of 2028. and is Mengão's first reinforcement for the 2025 season. At the club, he will wear the number 23 shirt.

A native of Pitangui, Minas Gerais, Juninho was born and raised at Athletico-PR, where he excelled in the youth ranks and was soon transferred to other clubs on loan. After excelling at Chaves (POR), the striker was signed by Qarabag in Azerbaijan in 2023. Over the last two seasons, he has made 80 appearances and scored 42 goals.

In his first year at Mengão, Juninho will face the Carioca Championship, Super Cup, Libertadores, Copa do Brasil, Brasileirão and FIFA Club Super World Cup.
