It's Mengão! Flamengo signs striker Fernando Uribe

By Flamengo Communication - inFlamengo announced Tuesday afternoon the signing of striker Fernando Uribe. The 30-year-old Colombian was playing for Toluca in Mexico and arrives to strengthen the team that leads the 2018 Brazilian Championship.

Fast, accurate, and a finisher, Uribe can play as a winger or center forward, providing Mauricio Barbieri with several attacking options. Born in Pereira, Uribe began his career with Atlético Huila, then played for Girardot, Cortoluá, and Once Caldas, before being transferred to Chievo in Italy.
In 2012, he returned to Colombia to play for Atletico Nacional, where he scored one of the goals in the 2012 Copa Colombia final against Deportivo Pasto, the team's first Copa Colombia win. In 2014, he left Atletico to join Millonarios, where he finished top scorer in the Apertura with 15 goals.
In 2015, he moved to Deportivo Toluca, in Mexico, where he played 117 matches and scored 61 goals.
