Flamengo announces the first reinforcements for 2016
Defender Juan and right-back Rodinei are the first reinforcements for next season

After the announcement of the new technical committee, the Football Department of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs: defender Juan and right-back Rodinei are the first reinforcements for the 2016 season. Coach Muricy Ramalho praised the two signings:
"Both of them are coming to strengthen the squad for next season. Juan is a very important player. He's technical and experienced and can pass on a lot of positive things to the younger players. Rodinei has stood out this year. He's a very strong and fast athlete and has everything he needs to help us," says the coach.

Juan returns to the club that introduced him to football and for which he played 246 times, winning the Rio de Janeiro State Championship three times in 1999, 2000, and 2001, and the Mercosul Cup in 1999. The renowned defender, who has played for the Brazilian national team and clubs such as Roma in Italy and Bayern Leverkusen in Germany, returns home after playing for Internacional de Porto Alegre for the past three years, having started for Colorado in the last edition of the Copa Libertadores. Juan, 36, is under contract until the end of 2016.
Right-back Rodinei, 23, came through Corinthians' youth system and excelled at Ponte Preta in the 2015 Brazilian Championship, appearing in 36 of the club's 38 matches. Flamengo acquired part of the player's rights from SEV Hortolândia. The club's contract with the club is for four years.
The Football Department's work continues, and the search for reinforcements continues. Flamengo's professional squad will report back on January 6th at 15 p.m. in Gávea. The following day, the players will head to preseason training in Mangaratiba.
