Leading the Brazilian Championship with 17 points, Flamengo is experiencing a great moment in the season, and the numbers prove the efficiency of the team led by Maurício Barbieri. After eight rounds, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) has the best attack in the national competition with 15 goals scored.

Another point that highlights Flamengo's strong offensive form is the fact that they have scored in every match they have played so far in the Brazilian Championship.

Flamengo's top scorer in the competition is Vinicius Junior. So far, the number 20 has already scored four times in Série A. The other goals were scored by: Lucas Paquetá (3), Everton Ribeiro (2), Henrique Dourado (2), Diego (2), Réver and Guerrero.

The balance between attack and defense has been fundamental for Flamengo to remain at the top of the Brazilian Championship table. Playing at home, Flamengo has conceded only one goal, which came in the 1-1 draw with Vasco da Gama.

Speaking of numbers, it's worth remembering that in the last two and a half years Flamengo has only lost once while playing at the Maracanã. Since then, they have played 31 games at the stadium, with 14 wins, 16 draws and one loss (Flamengo 0x1 Botafogo / Semifinal of the 2018 Carioca Championship).

In a press conference earlier this week, defender Léo Duarte attributed Flamengo's balance in the competition to the work being done by Maurício Barbieri in the training sessions held at Ninho do Urubu.

"Barbieri is an excellent coach. Even though he's young, he has great qualities and is very intelligent. He gives us a lot of information, and that makes our job easier. We embrace his idea," said the number 43.

Flamengo faces Corinthians this Sunday (3), at 16 pm, at Maracanã. The Nation can buy tickets for this game. clicking here.
