Flamengo presents the project for the new CT modules
Construction is already in full swing and delivery is expected by the end of this year; the professional team will have access to the best and most modern infrastructure in Brazil.

Another stage of the expansion and modernization plan for the George Helal Training Center is taking shape in Vargem Grande. The new modules, which will serve the professional soccer team, have an ambitious design and are scheduled for completion by the end of this year. While the immense red-and-black pennant steals the show on the way to the module that will house the Garotos do Ninho, at the entrance to the new facility for the main team, the calling card will be a statue of Zico, set in the large reflecting pool on the entrance alley.
Construction is already underway, led by LAFEM Engenharia, with a design designed by FEU Arquitetura. The two-story building, with a total area of 5 m², will have separate access for players, coaching staff, and the press. Athletes will have access to the best facilities in Brazil, with 42 suites (36 singles and six doubles), double-height fitness and hydrotherapy rooms with field views, a weight room with over 700 m², two auditoriums with a capacity of 50 people each, a cafeteria, direct integration between the coaching staff and the players' fitness area, and a common area for players and coaching staff.
One of the project's innovative details was inspired by the training center of England's greatest champion, as explained by Flamengo's Vice President of Heritage, Alexandre Wrobel.
"We will have observation decks for all the fields, as well as an independent structure dedicated exclusively to our sponsors and commercial partners, aiming at eventual marketing activations, without interfering in the daily lives of the athletes. This was an idea we took from Manchester United," said Wrobel, who visited several training centers to benchmarking.
"Since the first CT module was delivered in December 2016, we began working on modernizing the second phase. We visited several CTs, tried to capture the best of each, and finally arrived at our project, which, in my opinion, is unparalleled in Brazil. We will have spacious spaces, double-height ceilings, a glass facade, natural light...it's truly spectacular," he concluded.
