Goalkeeper Vinícius and forwards Marquinhos and Borja wore the Rubro-Negro shirt this Tuesday
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - inFlamengo officially presented three more reinforcements for the second half of 2010. Goalkeeper Vinícius and forwards Marquinhos and Cristian Borja wore the Rubro-Negro shirt, this Tuesday (13.07), in the presence of the executive director, Zico, who welcomed and wished success to the trio.
\"Flamengo has its doors open for them to present their best. If they are here, it is because they have demonstrated their ability. I only wish success to all three of them," said Galinho.
Signed from Palmeiras, Marquinhos recalled the difficult times he had at Palmeiras and said he hopes to show his best football at Fla.
"I've had a lot of injuries, but I want to forget what happened. I was training and I'm ready for Flamengo. I'm prepared for the pressure and any demands. I have to bring joy to the fans. Physically, I'm still a little far from ideal, as I was out for a month, but I hope to be available soon," he said.
Vinícius celebrated the great opportunity he's been given in his career. Despite occupying the thankless position of backup goalkeeper, he's excited to demonstrate his potential.
"I'm very happy to have this opportunity. I'm happy and motivated. Leaving where I started and wearing the Flamengo shirt is essential. Now it's time to show my potential and be committed on and off the field," he noted.
Colombian Cristian Borja, in turn, guaranteed that he will do his best to win his place at Gávea.
"I didn't play much in Colombia, but I came to find my place at Flamengo. I'm very happy to play for the club with the biggest fan base. It's a great opportunity in my career. I've always tried to do a good job on and off the field, and I think that's important," he added.
The three players arrived at Rubro-Negro on national transfers, and therefore, they should already be fit to play for the match against Atlético Goianiense, next weekend.
