The game

The match began as expected: Flamengo dominating possession, patiently exchanging passes to try and find openings in Remo's defense, which relied on quick transitions to try and surprise the Flamengo backline. The team sought to penetrate the penalty area down the flanks.

Then, in the 18th minute, Flamengo turned their superiority into a goal and opened the scoring at the Maracanã. Arrascaeta took a corner kick into the box, Léo Ortiz rose at the near post and headed the ball into the back of the net, putting Flamengo ahead: 1-0.

Trailing on the scoreboard, Remo began to keep possession of the ball in the attacking half, trying to reach the Flamengo penalty area. Even with the Pará team advancing more, Flamengo maintained greater ball possession, but made some errors in passing. At 41', Alex Sandro passed to Samuel Lino, who crossed low into the area. Pedro tried to stretch to deflect the ball, but it went straight through.

In stoppage time, Lino dribbled through the middle, attacked the defense and took a shot. The ball deflected off the defense and went out for a corner. Shortly after, the referee pointed to the center of the field and blew the whistle for halftime, with Flamengo in the lead.

Flamengo returned for the second half and quickly extended their lead, just two minutes in. Samuel Lino passed to Pedro, who pivoted and received the ball back. The number 16 also exchanged passes with Luiz Araújo, took a shot from outside the area, the ball deflected off the defense and deceived the goalkeeper to make it 2-0. Lino reached his fourth goal and is Flamengo's second-highest scorer this season.

Remo didn't even have time to breathe, as Flamengo scored their third goal in the eighth minute. After a series of passes in attack, Lino passed to Arrascaeta, who made a dummy run. Pedro got the better of the defender and backheeled the ball to Luiz Araújo, who shot into the corner of the net: 3-0.

With the game practically decided, coach Leonardo Jardim made three substitutions. Arrascaeta, Alex Sandro, and Samuel Lino were replaced by Lucas Paquetá, Ayrton Lucas, and Carrascal, respectively. Then, Varela came on for Emerson Royal, and Everton Cebolinha replaced Jorginho.

In the final stretch, Flamengo continued to control the game, exchanging passes in the attacking half and managing their lead until the final whistle to secure the three points in the Brasileirão. With this victory—their fourth consecutive win—Flamengo climbed to fourth place in the national competition.
