Flamengo beats São Paulo in a comeback: 2-1
With goals from Petkovic and Zé Roberto, the red-black team beat the São Paulo team and is two points away from the top four.

The result left the red-and-black team in sixth place in the Brazilian Championship, with 45 points, two points behind the top four. Petkovic and Zé Roberto scored Flamengo's goals in the match, with Hernanes scoring for the São Paulo team. In the next round, the team from Gávea faces leaders Palmeiras at Palestra Itália.
Flamengo dominated the match from the opening minutes and created several opportunities. Denis Marques had the first clear chance at goal in the tenth minute, but the number 9's header went over Rogério Ceni's goal. Seven minutes later, the Flamengo striker tried a shot from the edge of the box, but the ball went just wide of the São Paulo number 1's post.
Playing with character, Flamengo pressed. Álvaro had a chance in front of Rogério Ceni, but the goalkeeper made a fine save, saving the São Paulo team. Soon after, Petkovic made a good run down the right and crossed for Juan, who shot dangerously.
With their first good chance, São Paulo opened the scoring. In the 26th minute, Dagoberto delivered a beautiful pass to Hernanes, who dribbled past Bruno and tapped it into the goal: 1-0 São Paulo. The goal didn't discourage Flamengo, who continued to press. In the 36th minute, Everton Silva tried a shot from the edge of the box, but Rogério Ceni made a great save.
In the last good chance of the first half, Petkovic delivered a beautiful pass to Ronaldo Angelim, who headed the ball into the right corner. Rogério Ceni made another save.
Flamengo returned for the second half with Toró replacing Juan. Coach Andrade's team maintained control of the match but struggled to score. In the 10th minute, Flamengo's coach took off Denis Marques and brought on Bruno Mezenga.
In the 16th minute, Toró was brought down by Jorge Wagner inside the box. Referee Wilton Pereira de Carvalho awarded the penalty. Petkovic scored with skill, tying the match at 1-1. Soon after, Hugo burst into the box and fired a shot just wide of Bruno's left post.
At 35, Petkovic gave a beautiful pass to Zé Roberto, who invaded the area and beat Rogério Ceni: 2-1 Flamengo. Celebration in the stands of Maracanã.
