The comeback suffered in the final minutes of the match against Minas Tênis shook Flamengo's adult futsal team. In their first match in the 2009 Brazilian Futsal Cup, the Flamengo team took a 2-0 lead over the Minas Gerais team, but with four minutes remaining, they conceded three goals and were defeated. This made Friday's match against São José even more decisive for coach Cid Escarlate's team, which takes the court at Ginásio Presidente Ciro II at 20:30 p.m.

The Gávea team is in Group B of the 36th Brazilian Club Cup, and only the group leader qualifies for the final stage of the competition. Currently, Minas Gerais leads the table with two wins from two games. Right behind them are São Paulo and São José, each with three points (one win and one loss). Flamengo and Jardim Limoeiro, meanwhile, have yet to score, but have played only one match. This Friday, Flamengo faces São José, and Jardim Limoeiro plays Minas.

"Unfortunately, we ended up allowing Minas to come back in the first game, when we were already 2-0 up, and it was a very bad result for us. But we can't give up, we have three more games and we're going to get results to try to qualify," said winger/defensive midfielder Michel Marques.
