Flamengo's squad returned to training in Gávea on Tuesday afternoon to begin preparations for the Campeonato Carioca final. Coach Cuca began preparing the Flamengo team for the first leg of the state final, Sunday, against Botafogo at Maracanã.

In heavy rain, only the reserves took to the field for ball practice. Assistant coach Andrade led a ball-handling and movement drill on a reduced-size field. The starters met with coach Cuca in the locker room for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, the players trained physically in the gym.

After training, Cuca said he will start working on the team's tactics tomorrow.

"Training today was very productive. The first part was a meeting with the starting players in the locker room. We discussed internal matters, about the game itself. We talked about what we can improve and what we did well. Then they did strength training in the gym. Tomorrow we'll train in two periods, and I'll start working on the team's tactics. The best way to avoid the anxiety of a decision is to work hard, and that's what we'll do."
