On Tuesday morning (06), Flamengo finalized preparations for the match against Atlético-MG, which will be played tomorrow (07), at 19 pm, at Mineirão. The match is valid for the tenth round of the Brazilian Championship, where Rubro-Negro occupies 10th place with 12 points won in seven games played.
Coach Rogério Ceni led a tactical training session with the red-and-black players, which included Arrascaeta, Isla, and Piris da Motta. The players returned to the club after representing their respective national teams in the Copa América and were named in the squad for the match. Goalkeeper Hugo was released to address personal issues.
After the activity, the Mengão squad went to the airport and boarded a flight to Belo Horizonte-MG in the early afternoon, in search of three points to climb the championship standings.
Flamengo and Atlético-MG have faced each other 116 times, with Atlético-MG having the upper hand. Flamengo has won 46 times, drawn 32 times, and lost 38 times, with 169 goals scored and 163 conceded.
