The cramped San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium in Santiago, Chile, hosts a match Tuesday night that will be of interest to Flamengo fans. Universidad Católica (UC), the home team, faces Argentina's Colón in the second leg of the Libertadores preliminary round. The first rival for Flamengo in their quest for a second consecutive title will be determined from there. The match will be broadcast on Sportv, starting at 20:20 PM (Brasília time).
To qualify, the home team must defeat the visitors by two goals or win by a minimum score, provided it's 1-0 or 2-1. A draw is for Colón, who can lose by one goal as long as they score at least three times. A 3-2 victory for Católica will take the match to a penalty shootout.
Flamengo's first game will be on February 24th at the Maracanã stadium, against the winner of the match between Colón and UC. The return leg will be on April 14th, in Santa Fe (if Argentina qualifies) or in Santiago (if UC qualifies). Completing the group are Venezuela's Caracas FC and Chile's Universidad de Chile.
